Course Duration: 1.5 hours

• Laptop operating system overview for security & privacy (Windows & Mac)

• Locking down the Laptop to minimize data collection & tracking

• Laptop detox and high-level security check for cross-cultural travel/living

• Installation and setup of secure apps

• Browser security & browser hardening for privacy

• Laptop Encryption (keeping your device contents safe)

• Phase 2 training in surveillance

• Introduction to Linux operating systems and setting up a secure Linux OS on USB

• Censorship – Firewalls & internet blocking (with workaround)

• OPSEC (Operational Security) – Identity strategies

• Staying safe, secure and anonymous while using a laptop on public WiFi/Cafe/Airport hot spots.

Phase 3: Advanced Privacy & Security

Course Duration: 50 minutes

Tackle advanced threats and create contingency plans, assess network vulnerabilities, set up essential protection apps, harden mobile and laptop devices, prepare for international travel, and learn customs and police interrogation tactics.

• Stage 2 (intermediate) mobile device hardening.
